Terms and conditions for using the electronic entry visas, residence, and foreign Affaires services system
1. The following words and phrases wherever mentioned in theseTerms and conditions shall have the meanings assigned thereto unless the context indicates otherwise:
The Kingdom: The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan
The Ministry : The Ministry of Interior
The Minister : The Minister of Interior
The Department : Public Security Department
The Manager: The Public Security Director, represented by the Borders and Residence Department Manager, or his delegate.
The System: Ministry of Interior and Public Security Department e-services according to Residence and foreign affairs law.
Concerned Parties: Ministries and official institutions and concerned departments that provide and implement e-services within the present or future scope of the system.
Services: The entry visas into Jordan, annual and temporary residence permits, payment of penalties, issuance of entry and exit evidences, and transfer of stamps and any service within the present or future scope of the system.
User: The user of the system.
Expatriate: Any one who does not have Jordanian citizenship.
Service recipient: The natural or legal person, where the singular shall include the plural, who has direct or indirect relation with the system .
Official in-charge: The official working for the concerned official parties who is entrusted with the provision and management of the system , or part thereof, within his authorities in accordance with the job responsibilities documented in the job descriptions guidebook.
2. Scope of Application
a) These terms and conditions shall apply within the scope of system. They were formulated in line with the National Policies Document for the Information Security and Protection, approved by the Prime Ministry on 28/10/2008. Nevertheless, it should be emphasized that in case of contradiction between the terms and conditions and the National Policies Document for the Information Security and Protection, the later shall prevail.
b) These terms and conditions shall apply within the scope of the system as long as they do not contradict with the applied laws, instructions, and regulations of the Kingdom as regards such services.
c) Any Service recipient shall have the right to register himself as a subscriber to the system in accordance with the applied laws, regulations, and instructions, in addition to the provisions of the terms and conditions.
d) No Service recipient shall be allowed to use the system services without a special account for him established for this purpose, and in accordance with the terms and conditions, the instructions of the Ministry and the Department, and in accordance with the e-forms approved for this purpose.
e) The Service recipient may subscribe to the e-service and benefit from the system via the internet by using a user name and password and logging on the links of the system on the web sites established and accredited by the Ministry and the Department.
f) The information of all service recipients shall be kept confidential in accordance with the relevant laws, regulations, and instructions.
g) The service recipient shall have the right to apply for any service of the system in accordance with the applied laws, regulations, and instructions.
h) In case the Service recipient erroneously enters the password more than the allowed attempts, his account shall be blocked and frozen, and he/she can reactivate his account by checking with the Ministry .
i) The official authorities shall not be responsible, jointly or severally, for any damage resulting and/or sustained by the Service recipient due to his use of the internet, e-telecommunication means and methods, software, and his own devices to get the services of the system , and he/she shall be responsible for the resulting consequences and subsequent procedures.
j) The Service recipient may contact the Ministry and/or the Department to cancel his requested service which he submitted through the system.
k) In case the service recipient fails to provide correct and complete information, the concerned authorities will not be able to provide the service recipient or Service recipient with the system.
l) The concerned authorities shall have the right to use the information and data within any field in the way they deem appropriate in accordance with the laws, regulations, and instructions.
m) The official authorities shall not be responsible for any administrative, legal, and financial consequences resulting from the misuse of the user to his own account or as a result of not preserving the account name and password of the Service recipient.
n) The user's name and the password are identification means to define the Service recipient 's or the service recipient's identity and any Services or procedures performed by the Service recipient by using these means. The Service recipient shall be responsible in full for all financial, administrative, and legal consequences resulting from misusing these means as deemed appropriate by the Ministry and/or the Department, and the Service recipient shall be responsible for any change or missing or transferring such means to others.
o) The Service recipient undertakes to inform the Ministry and/or the Department if he/she suspects that somebody manipulates with his account, or his own identification means have been stolen or disclosed.
p) The information stored in the system may be used in future for statistical purposes or security studies to know the numbers and rates of logging on the web site.
q) Any user (service recipient) who registered his personal information through an account in the system shall have the right to brows, amend, or correct his personal information upon their change. For example, but not limited to, changing the passport number, changing his place of residence, or his marital status.
r) The secured e-messages by e-mail or SMS through the mobile telephone networks shall be considered an accepted means for transaction by the official authorities, and the service recipients shall be deemed agreeing in full to receive e-messages sent by the official authorities.
s) The service recipient shall be informed of his electronic request status within the system through SMS the short text messages or the e-mail at the stages and steps established by the official authorities.
t) The service recipient may inquire about a transaction status in the system by logging on the system and using the inquiry about a transaction status service as established by the official authorities.
u) The minors (less than 18 years old) are disqualified to use the system web site. Emphasizing that the minors are requested not to enter any personal information or try to register and establish accounts on the system web site.
v) To better understand and serve you, we shall record the information that helps us achieve this goal from such information, for example but not limited to, (your internet explorer information and your own IP address).
w) The official authorities shall not assume, jointly or severally, any legal, financial, or administrative consequences in case of the service disruption or suspension, or due to inaccurate information extracted through the service.
x) The Ministry and the Department shall have the full right to ban the service or the services, in part or in whole, for any period of time without a prior notice, without giving reasons, and without assuming any legal, financial, or administrative consequences as a result of such denial.
y) We shall reserve the right to change these terms and conditions, as necessary. However, all changes shall be announced through proper methods and mechanisms to have all changes accessible to public.
3. Privacy and Disclosure
a) All related official authorities undertake to keep the privacy and confidentiality of the system users' personal information. They also limit the possibility of accessing the applications of the system recipients and their personal information to the official concerned employees.
b) All related official authorities undertake not to disclose the personal information of the service recipient to any third party unless the law, instructions, and regulations require so.
c) The related authorities undertake not to sell or grant the telecommunication information (e-mail, post office box, telephone number, mobile telephone number) of the system users to any third party for the purpose of marketing or any other purposes.
d) The Service recipient undertakes to maintain his own account, and not to allow others to use this system or have access to it by using the account name and the password of the Service recipient .
4. Security and Authorities
a) The employees working on the system at all official concerned authorities may not copy the system users' names and passwords or any data stored in the system in any form if they are unauthorized to do so.
b) The employees working on the system at all official concerned authorities may not disclose the users' names and passwords or give them to any party under any circumstances
c) To protect and secure your personal information, we have the right to use the procedural methods we deem fit to achieve such goal.
5. companies and enterprises usage Terms and conditions
d) The companies and enterprises who register to use the system undertake not to use the system but by the authorized person, and they shall be responsible for the resulting legal consequences by:
The enterprise shall officially authorize one person to be the contact point and the only user of the system.
The enterprise shall sign an undertaking document not to use the system by a person other than the authorized person.
In case of changing the authorized person, the enterprise shall immediately inform the Ministry officially accordingly.
The enterprise shall sign a nondisclosure agreement clarifying the information to be kept confidential.
6. Online Payment
a. The service recipient may pay the amounts required for providing the service electorally through the online payment gate or the contact the Ministry and/or the Department to pay these amounts ersonally.
b. All the paied amounts whether paid through the online payment gate or personally will be bound for the National treasury/Ministry of Finance.
c. All concerned authorities undertake to keep the confidentiality of the information of the credit cards and any other sensitive information, the number of the online payment services for the Borders and Residence Department through the online payment gate, where all information will be encrypted such as the name and the ID card number to keep the information confidentiality.
Noting that the Ministry of Finance is the party concerned with the collection of the online payments.
